You may be wondering what exactly the Independent Defense Counsel office is and how it really operates in Santa Clara County. From my personal experience, I have been able to figure out why it was created and the purpose it really serves. I do not like to sugar coat things and prefer to “say it how I see it” so that is why I have come up with my description of the IDO based upon facts, personal experience and extensive research. Santa Clara County Independent Defense Council Office consist of “Cover up Lawyers” that foot the bill for defendants whose civil rights have been violated and can’t afford an attorney. These cases are bumped out of the Public Defender’s Office that proclaims there is a conflict of interest with other available offices. However, this conflict is never explained and, under current policy, does not have to be. By dumping these cases on the Independent Defense Counsel, the Public Defender’s office can play dumb and never do the proper research needed to prevent future civil right violations from occurring. This is also known as playing “County Hot Potato” and is meant to run the public in circles and confuse the hell out of them. Pushing these cases out of the standard legal channel is a disservice to the community. Santa Clara County judges are very familiar with the Independent Defense Counsel scam and how the hustle works. Declaring in open court that a client is represented by the Independent Defense Counsel is pretty much alerting the judge that it is time to protect the establishment and make these cases go away. Silvia Perez McDonald (Director of the Independent Defense Council Scam) will play minion with the defendant’s legal defense by using tricks to deny them their basic 6th amendment   rights: • Sylvia Perez McDonald can set the scope of how her attorneys are paid on a case by case basis. • She can manipulate a case by not providing investigators, witnesses, exculpatory evidence, and or other legal resources that are vital to a quality legal defense. • She can cherry pick attorneys that are well known for protecting the establishment at any cost. Some of the notorious dirty dogs in this scam are lawyers like:

·         Thompson “Shady” Sharkey

·         William R. Bennett

After a court case is court complete, these lawyers get clients hopes up by saying they will continue to provide a no charge civil legal defense to go after financial compensation for having their civil rights violated. This is just smoke and mirrors and these lawyers will dump you on your ass when the case is done. These shit bag attorneys have even gone as far as to offer to file an appeal after the fact but then leave you high and dry. Silvia Perez McDonald regards her attorneys as “God’s Gift”. They are in constant contact with her and must have her permission to do just about anything in your legal defense. When you try and complain, she does not listen to a word you have to say. She is notorious for being cold and rude on the phone and likes to hang up to solve the problem. You are pretty much complaining to the puppet. She will never go above and beyond to hold these Dirty Dog attorneys accountable. When the public puts pressure on the IDO, Silvia Perez McDonald plays games. Instead of getting a qualified appellate attorney involved to clean up the IDO’s mess, she provides an inept attorney, just like one community leader, Cary Andrew Crittenden, was provided. (Please Google his name and learn how Santa Clara County devastated a South San Jose neighborhood and attacked this man a for speaking out against harassment, fraud and violence.  Another local activist, Victor Meras (AKA: Victorious Alexander, was also rail-roaded by the IDO at the hands of Lawyer Thompson “Shady” Sharkey. This attorney is well known in the legal community for setting his clients up to fail just like what he did with Victor Meras. Thompson Sharkey has been the IDO’s “Go to Guy” to protect the establishment and hide corruption in the Public Defender’s Office, Independent Defense Council Office and County Counsel’s Office. That’s my take of the IDO. Oh….. Did I mention this office is a Scam and I don’t even think its located 373 West Julian street.  I believe it is at 70 West Hedding Street with the MAIN County Counsel’s office. They try to deceive the public into believing these agencies are independent and they are nothing of the sort. The Julian street “Courtesy Phone” likely redirects the call to 70 West Hedding Street …. Smoke and Mirrors…
